Hi guys! This weekend I want to talk to you about skincare. With the new year just starting it is time to think about the most important organ we have, our skin. From head to toe it protects us and we must nurture it and take care of it. So on day 1 we will begin by talking about cleansers. A clean face is the beginning to a perfect canvas. Bacteria clogs our pores and can cause breakouts, dull and lackluster skin and then it can lead to premature aging, we don't want none of that. So read on for my favorite cleansers.
If you have normal to dry or dry skin a cream cleanser can work wonders. Cream cleansers tend to be more moisturizing thus helping dry skin from the start. Some of my favorites are: Lancôme Crème Mousse Confort, CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser and Origins Pure Cream Cleanser.
If you have combination skin then a foaming face cleanser is for you. I personally love the Dior Diorsnow Purifying Foam, it makes my face feel super clean and fresh plus it brightens the skin. Another great one is CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser which gives you a deep clean without stripping your face and making it feel tight and dry.
And last but not least, if you have acne prone skin then something with salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, witch hazel or tea tree oil can help clear the skin of existing breakouts and can help prevent new ones. My favorite is Dr. Dennis Gross All-in-one Cleansing Foam, this contains witch hazel and just the cleanser alone helps to control breakouts. Another alternative is Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam which deep cleans and unclogs pores.
Now, for those lazy days where just looking at the sink is a hassle, because let's face it, we all have them. There are a great number of facial cleansing wipes to choose from. For oily/acne prone skin I like the Dickinsons Witch Hazel wipes, they have a slight herbal scent but it goes away very fast. And for my dry skin friends the Neutrogena wipes are great, they moisturize really nice.
But now it's time for you guys to share, what is your favorite facial cleanser and why? Let me know below and don't forget to subscribe. TTYL XOXO
