Hi guys!!! So I won the new Physicians Formula #InstaReady line from Influenster and I couldn't wait to share it with you!!! So I will be very honest and tell tou guys up front there are aome things I didn't like...eeeekkk. Ok, here it goes. The line itself is all about being ready to take the perfect selfie by blurring imperfections. So let's talk about each product and let's see some swatches ok.
For starters I tried the BB cream and it is just a little too light for me. I am a light-medium skin tone and this just didn't work, no matter how much I blended. It is a very thin consistency so maybe if I use less of it and add some darker beonzer I might get away with it. Here is a picture for you:
Next let's talk check out the bronzer and the filter trio powder. So I was very sad that my bronzer arrived completely shattered so I had to kinda fix it. This is a very light bronzer so don't expect to use this as a contour if you are Med-Dark skin. If you are fairly light you might be able to get some color on you. As for the trio filter it leaves a light sheen on the skin which makes it very pretty, you can even just use this alone on your makeup free days to smooth out your complexion. Verdict: The trio powder I liked, the bronzer not so much. A word of advice, DO NOT use the brushes they come with, use a big fluffy brush to apply. Why? Because you guys these are EXTREMELY powdery!!! It was so bad that when I tried them in the back of my hand, when I tapped the back to remove the powder, I would get a little cloud of powder smoke. When you use a big fluffy brush it's not as bad but it's still not great.
Another product I liked is the contour stick trio. This is sooooo creamy and blendable. It is a little hard to use all three at once but you can take a little brush and use them separately. This I think would work on all skin tones, especially the highlight.
Ok so last but not least the blush stick trio. You guys know I love blush, but.... 3 blushes in one little stick just did not work for me. If we combine all three colors it makes a nice blush but swiping them in 3's on the cheeks.....not the best. This, just like the contour stick is very creamy and it is easy to blend so, I am sure we can find ways to make it work for all.
Overall this is a nice line. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a scent on these products, not a bad one but it's there. They are easy products to use so you can get ready in a fraction of the time and the blendability of the cream sticks is amazing! If you have tried this line and have some suggestions for me I am open to trying new ways to use these. Let me know what you guys think? What's your favorite product of this line? What would you like to own? TTYL XOXO
Did you know that you can fix shattered powders, eyeshadows, bronzers etc. with rubbing alcohol? Take the powder and smash it with a butterknife/ spatula whatever will crush it. Add a few drops or more of alcohol and mix into a paste (depends on how much powder as to how much alcohol you use. Smooth the paste out in the compact and keep open. Dries overnight. You can find directions on pinterest and other sites. Just do a little search on How to fix makeup compact. I haven't tried this yet but I have read many different articles saying this works. It is said that it does not alter the makeup and there is no scent of alcohol because it evaporates. Thanks for the review.

ReplyDeleteHahhaha yes!! That is what i did to fix it 😃. And it did work!!! It dried overnight and really didn't change anything, it worked great!! I hve actually done it a few times with other broken powders and that is one pintrest trick that has worked wonders!! Thanks girl!!
DeleteGood to know it REALLY works. I came across these articles a bit too late and lost my compacts. I hate it when I open a compact unsuspecting and the contents fall out everywhere or I find all of the makeup crumbs in the bottom of my purse. Ugh!
