Murad Rapid Lightening Regimen

Good morning guys! So I came home yesterday to find a package at my door from Murad. I rushed inside to open it and look at what was inside:

It is their Rapid Lightening Regimen. This arrived at the perfect time in my life. Why? Well, I don't know about you but as I am getting, dare I say it....older (gulp), I keep noticing I am getting more dark spots in my face that are coming out of nowhere! I see them more on the top of my nose and on my temples plus let's face it, I have tones of acne scars from, well, always as i still get breakouts till this day. So needless to say I am super excited about this products and I started using them this morning, I just couldn't wait. Here is what came in my box:

1) Murad Essential- C Cleanser- Claims: 'Antioxidant-rich formula cleanses and rehydrates environmentally damaged skin.' This is an almost gel like cleanser with little exfoliating beads inside.  It didn't foam up as much as my current cleanser does but it washes off completely, which is what I like. What I mean is that I like the 'super clean' feeling and this not only made my face feel clean but it didn't strip it, it still felt hydrated.

2) Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum- Claims: 'Diminishes the appearance of hyperpigmentation and fades dark spots while improving overall skin tone .'  A little of this goes a long way with this serum and the best part is that it sinks right into your skin. It is a thicker serum, it's not runny so it is easy to apply and you don't waste any.

3) Murad Essential-C Day Moisture with SPF 30- Claims: 'Poweful antioxidant-rich sunscreen shields and revitalizes environmentally stressed skin.' Ok so this is a thin moisturizer but it does a good job. It went on smoothly, my face does look hydrated plus it has SPF 30 which is great since I am terrible at wearing sunscreen, I know it's bad of me and I am working on it so this makes it so much easier.

4) Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum- this is a sample size and is to be used during the day in place of the Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum. I have not yet started to use this.

5) Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel- this is also a sample size and is to be used 1-2 times a week. I am really looking forward to this as you guys know I love masks and peels.

The set I received above is a 90 day supply so you can see that a little is supposed to go a long way. I am going to show you what my face looks like, up close and personal hahaha, and will update you each week to show my progress. As you can see below I have a lot of spots and discoloration, but this kit also came with a handy color chart to track progress, very smart Murad.

Thats it for today guys, let me know if you have tried this and what you think of it. TTYL XOXO

  1. I have heard of Murad a lot lately and was wondering if this would be good for sensitive skin. I mean very sensitive. Does it burn? Can't wait to see your results after 90 days.

    1. No, i haven't had any burning sensation at all. I haven't felt anything at all while using it but last night I used the peel and it works so good. It left my face so soft, however, it does have a tingling sensation which wasn't bad, it doesn't burn either. Overall I think this would be a good set to try for very sensitive skin. I will keep you updated.

  2. Nice review. I also got a this kit to try and review. For me I noticed a burning sensation with the serum and peel...and today after using the cleanser a mole on my face that also has a pimple starting to bleed and I wasn't washing my face hard. I'm trying to see if the products have gluten in them since I have celiac disease and am super sensitive to gluten...so that could be my problem. I don't have sensitive skin.

    1. Wow i am sorry to hear that. I did a little research on Murad products and gluten. It looks like some of their products do contain a form of gluten but I couldn't find a list anywhere. The burning sensation you experienced with the serum and peel is a little concerning. I know the peel says you might feel a tingling sensation which I did but for a few seconds, but not burning. I can tell you that in my personal experience when I have that kind is symptoms it's because the product is not going to work for me. Either its too strong or i am just having a reaction to something in it but I do have sensitive skin. Let me know if you continue to use it.
